I’m now based in the Southern Highlands but don’t let that put you off!

I’m a freelance startup consultant and central coast web designer who has had 20 years working across the world for a range of digital businesses, online applications and websites. I always have a special place in my heart for where I started my career and keep a presence in the Central Coast web designer industry.
From a Central Coast Web designer to a global UX designer
Over the years, I’ve designed hundreds of websites. I’ve even designed software tools to design websites. So if you include how many websites that tool has created, you could say I’ve created many thousands of websites!

My goal is to solve your business and/or customer problems. If you’re reading this page, your website may not be meeting your performance expectations. Perhaps it’s underperforming or you’ve had negative feedback from customers. All these are essentially affecting your bottom line.
My history as a web designer servicing Central Coast
I grew up on the Central Coast and despite many years overseas in the interim, my first Web Design jobs, freelance contracts, and the first agency I owned, were all located on the Central Coast.
I’m my early days with the Central Coast web design agency I co-founded, Big Click Studios, I worked with many local organisations including:
- Central Coast Council (Wyong and Gosford Council back then)
- Central Coast Community council
- Australian Reptile Park
- Central Coast Group Training
- And many other businesses!
I’ve laser-focused my skills in a wide variety of areas outside of Central Coast web design. These include software design, user experience, sales and marketing. Check out my full capabilities in Freelance UX design and startup consulting services.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the first step to designing a website
The first step to designing a website is figuring out what business problems you need to solve and then determining how the website can solve those problems.
Search Engine Optimisation on the Central Coast has become VERY competitive. There is not much point in having an amazing web design if your prospects are not finding it and not only that… finding your competitors instead!
Your search engine optimisation strategy must be a core component of the web design process.

Convert more visitors to customers
Converting more of your visitors to customers is the primary reason people go to Google a search for ‘web designer central coast’, ‘digital marketing central coast’ or ‘central coast advertising’. If they don’t find what they’re looking for on the Central Coast they’ll look in other locations for terms like ‘Freelance web designer Sydney or ‘Web design Southern Highlands’.
If you know a thing or two about search engine optimisation, you’ll see I just used a few target keywords in the previous paragraph so I can rake for terms like ‘seo central coast’ or ‘seo southern highlands’ targeting the areas I’d like to gain clients in.
It’s one thing your web design ranking on Google for Central Coast related terms but getting those visitors to become customers is another challenge.
I work with you on your web designs conversion rate optimisation along side your search engine optimsation.
Custom Web Design and development Central Coast
There are many types of web design. The majority of Central Coast web design agencies probably use a templated-based solution through WordPress, Webflow, Joomla, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Mailchimp etc, etc, etc. There are countless web design tools that deliver amazing websites. I use some of these web design tools myself depending on the project. But, these tools would not be considered custom web design.
Custom web design overlaps with software development. The lines are blurred between a website and an app. A web app is essentially a website.
If you have a software app idea or need to automate processes or provide a backend system to customers or staff, this is custom web design.
Web application developer on the Central Coast
Web design is no longer the same industry as it was 5 years ago. Your website can double up as a web application and be a primary sales tool in gaining incoming leads, selling products and onboarding to your web application. I’ve worked on over 30 complex web applications at various stages of their business journey. I’ve even founded and developed my own web applications. I’ve got experience in Fin-Tech, Health-Tech, Ed-Tech and have consulted countless other startups in a variety of industries.
